On October 26th I put myself and my little wares out into the world officially for the first time at a show. It was a great experience and I am so glad that I started small. Since then, I have had a GREAT many things brewing for my teeny business that I cannot wait to share with everyone in the upcoming months!
Here are a few photo-notes from the awesome day-
my favorite necklaces
these were a big hit
i sold this little guy to a 10 year old!
i have my very own shop sign!
I would not say that I stole the show, or that I walked away with millions, but I was super happy that I had the opportunity to show my stuff.
Upcoming: I will hopefully be peddling some things at the Bridge pop-up Christmas shop and at Oh’Suz this holiday. I have joined up with Craft Cville to just about get involved with ALL THE THINGS and I have ordered new faceted beads that I am over the moon for.
Everything’s coming up Blue Tights!

I love the quote that states that you should never have anything in your home that you do not see to be useful or beautiful. It is the best when something can be both.
Will and I love stories. I love to read them, watch them talk about them, tell them and I especially love when we can bring something into our home that tells a past story that we just add on to. It gives everything a bit more meaning and some… some, Umph! I love it.
I have a few obsessions and though I hate clutter, I never feel there is not enough space for them. Lately I am drawn to vintage luggage and constantly find myself killing time in waiting rooms, school offices waiting on meetings, or sneaking little peeks during a lunch break or at home of vintage blue suitcases on Etsy. That magical land where everything is within reach and sometimes budget. I would stack them to the ceiling if I knew that the Bug would not tip them over once he is a bit more mobile. Right now I have three. Three that I LOVE, but just three. I fantasize about where I would put them. Where I would take them. What amazing road trip Will and I would plan where there could only be a calling for my gaggle of little blue ladies waiting patently in my bedroom for an amazing adventure. Just another in what I imagine has been a long life of adventures. One with a beautiful young flight attendant from Texas who wanted to make it big in New York, or one who belonged to a mother of 4, who finally was able to take that trip to Hawaii, and one who traveled the whole nation with Bob the Bible Salesman…
Now their story is a part of ours and even though I do not really know where they have been, I get to be a part of where they are going and I love it.
My little ladies
I have started adding these little necklaces to the iwbt family of crafty goodness. I will be selling them this weekend at my first EVER craft show and also this Holiday Season at Oh’Suzannah!
Be on the look out for more details!

I have new Boutonnieres in the works for the Mt Zion Harvest Bazaar that is coming up at the end of the month. I am super excited about the new “boys” that I have been working on. I went with an Austen theme because… well, because of course! that is why!!
I am really proud of them so far. I am going to dish out another smaller line in the next couple of weeks for the younger set. Possibly based on Peter Pan, because I have been watching Once Upon a Time and I am digging the “bad Pan” story line.
Darcy is my favorite… OBVIOUSLY. Oh, Firthy…
I cannot handle you
… to my dream home that looks like THIS.
Yes Yes, Anthropologie. Your dress is just lovely. The necklace divine. But can we all take a moment to talk about that FREAKING AMAZING WALLPAPER?!?!?
As a grownup, I tend to reserve the OMGing and the LOLing to my younger friends, but this is an OMG moment if I have ever been presented with one.
I heart. I heart heart heart!
image of course: from Anthro.
Oh, Anthro! You never cease to amaze and cause desire to well up in my heart like a geiser of of whimsy and blood orange mimosas!
The mushrooms were divine. The clothes precious and lovely.
Well done, you. Well done.

This is that song. And just WHAT does an awesome song need, you ask?
>Is it Swedish? Check.
>Catchy and also makes me want to dance in the car/shower/office/nursery? Check.
>Is the name is so strange, it MUST be cool? WIN.
Just follow the masses and download it before the 12 year old hipsters catch on and make us fogies feel ancient for loving the pants off of it.
What I mean is, I am a proper idiot for saying that I will keep up with my blog and NEVER keeping up with my blog! But as Bob would say, “Times they are a’changin.” I have a WHOLE new life to talk about, what with the BABY and all and then there are the craft shows! Oh the glorious Craft Shows! I am going to try work on loads of new cuties for what I hope will be my new adventure. Of course there will be LOADS of gratuitous photos of the new man in my life, my precious little Lincoln Log, along with updates on his development and milestones and such. I also have a LOT to say about being a new mom and how I feel as though there is a colossal lack of legit information out there… i.e the TRUTH about what you really go through and not just talk about morning sickness and your water breaking.
So, yes. I MEAN it this time! I am going to be bigger and better and off the chain!
